Good morning, White Lake, here's what you need to know about today.

1. The weather

The National Weather Service says we can expect mostly sunny skies, with a high near 49. Wednesday night will be mostly clear, with a low around 31 degrees.

2. Gas prices

According to DetroitGasPrices.com, the lowest reported gasoline price in the White Lake area as of Tuesday night was $3.14 per gallon at the gas station located at M-59 and Teggerdine.

3. On this day in history

According to History.com, in 1936, the first issue of the pictorial magazine Life is published, featuring a cover photo of the Fort Peck Dam by Margaret Bourke-White.

A Red Cross blood drive takes place from noon-6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23 in the community room of the Highland Township Library. The event is sponsored and coordinated by Girl Scout Troop #842. Walk-in donors are always welcome, or call Kris at 248-889-3454 to make an appointment (donors with an appointment will be taken ahead of walk-ins). Last walk-in will be taken at 5:30 p.m. Make sure you bring your Photo ID (with birth date) or your Donor Card. Child care will be provided for donors. The day before Thanksgiving is the highest blood transfusion day of the year.
