The National Weather Service says we can expect mostly sunny skies, with a high near 49. Wednesday night will be mostly clear, with a low around 31 degrees.

According to DetroitGasPrices.com, the lowest reported gasoline price in the White Lake area as of Tuesday night was $3.14 per gallon at the gas station located at M-59 and Teggerdine.

3. On this day in history

According to History.com, in 1936, the first issue of the pictorial magazine Life is published, featuring a cover photo of the Fort Peck Dam by Margaret Bourke-White.

A Red Cross blood drive takes place from noon-6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23 in the community room of the Highland Township Library. The event is sponsored and coordinated by Girl Scout Troop #842. Walk-in donors are always welcome, or call Kris at 248-889-3454 to make an appointment (donors with an appointment will be taken ahead of walk-ins). Last walk-in will be taken at 5:30 p.m. Make sure you bring your Photo ID (with birth date) or your Donor Card. Child care will be provided for donors.
