1. The weather

The National Weather Service predicts a 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after 2pm. Skies will be cloudy, with a high near 68 degrees and a calm wind becoming southeast between 5 and 8 mph.

2. Gas prices

According to DetroitGasPrices.com, the lowest reported gasoline price in the White Lake area as of Wednesday night was $3.54 per gallon at the gas station located off M-59.

3. On this day in history

According to History.com, on this day in 2010, 33 Chilean miners were rescued after being trapped nearly half a mile underground for 69 days. The miners, according to the History Channel, survived longer than anyone else trapped underground in recorded history.
