Softball and baseball use spring break as spring training

In the latest blog from The BHS Times, the student paper writes about a unique training opportunity both the Brighton baseball and softball teams took advantage of during spring break. The BHS Times writes, "For the first time in thirty years, the BHS varsity baseball team traveled south for spring break, in hope of getting outside and ready for the brand new season. The varsity softball team traveled down south as well. Both teams headed for Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The weather was great and offered the Bulldogs a perfect opportunity to hone in on some skills they needed to touch up on before the season got under way. Because of MHSAA rules, the teams couldn’t play but could as practice as much as they wanted. The Baseball team stayed about twenty minutes south of Myrtle Beach in Myrtles Inlet. The Softball team however was in downtown Myrtle Beach, right on the beach. The teams stayed in hotel rooms with different teammates, this was great to build team chemistry."
