High Winds, Storm Cause Widespread Power Outages

DTE reports roughly 2,100 customers in White Lake and Highland lost power Thursday afternoon.

More than 2,100 White Lake and Highland area residents are without power this afternoon follow a storm and high winds.

According to a DTE Energy outage map, residents lost power just after 2 p.m. Thursday. Affected areas include a large portion of both White Lake and Highland Townships, mostly north of M-59; and along Milford Road.

Currently, there is no estimate on when power will be restored. Storms are expected to continue in the area through Thursday night.
