It's Back: Snow Expected Today, Tonight

An inch is expected with up to three inches falling in some areas.

The snow is expected to be back in southeast Michigan later today, though only an inch or two is expected for much of the area, according to the National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac.

A widespread area of snowfall will move through the area this afternoon and evening, dropping 1-2 inches of snow. Some areas could receive up to three inches of snow.

The high for the day will top out around 38 degrees before dropping down to around 11 degrees tonight. The wind will pick up later in the day with sustained winds between 15-25 m.p.h. and gusts up to 30 m.p.h. Wind chills could dip as low as 6 degrees below zero.
