Last Chance: First Community Garden Planting
Our new 'Last Chance' feature lets you know about important upcoming deadlines.
Spring is here, and with the growing season comes a need for volunteers for the . The garden, located at , will have its first planting Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.
Calvary Church the Rev. Ken Fouty said volunteer can sign up on the church's website. If you or anyone you know would like to be a part of this year's growing season please go to http://www.calvary-lutheran.org/#/hello/community-garden. There is an online volunteer form available to fill out, and an email list.
Last year, the garden grew more than 2,500 pounds of food that was donated to local charities.
