Protect Your Plants: Frost Possible This Weekend

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook covering Oakland County that warns winds could gust to 40 miles per hour Friday, with the possibility of frost formation Saturday night.

If you've enjoyed this week's dreary weather, then you'll be delighted with what's in store for today and Saturday: Gusting winds, diving temperatures and the possibility of frost.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for parts of southeast Michigan, including Oakland County, that warns winds could gust to 40 miles per hour today, with the possibility of frost formation Saturday night.

The temperature in White Lake is expected to fall to 39 degrees by 5 p.m. Friday, according to the forecasting agency, and showers are likely. Scattered showers also are possible Saturday, with a forecast high near 48 degrees and a low near 35 degrees.

The conditions will be less than ideal for the Lakeland Eagles, who play Walled Lake at 7 p.m. Friday.

Gardeners also will find the weather less than ideal, so make sure to bring in the plants you can move and cover those you can't to keep them safe.
