Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued for White Lake

Storms are expected tonight after 5 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for most of Southeast Michigan, including White Lake.

The watch is in effect until midnight, and storms are expected to being sometime after 5 p.m.

The main threat of these storms will be high winds that could exceed 70 mph. Large hail, greater than 1-inch in diameter, is also possible.

The storms will move from the southwest to the northeast at 45 mph.
