Snow Day: Local Schools Closed after Sunday Storm

We've got a list of local school closings.

With temperatures hovering just above 10 degrees, and approximatley 8 inches of snow in White Lake all local districts have shut down for Monday. According to the National Weather Service, today's forecast calls for blowing snow throughout Metro Detroit with a 40 percent chance of snow showers. With wind gusts up to 34 mph, the high will be near 13 degrees. With wind chills factors near negative 10 degrees, make sure to bundle up if you go out to play.

The following districts are closed for Monday:

  • Huron Valley Schools
  • Clarkston Community Schools
  • Walled Lake Schools
  • Waterford Public Schools
  • Holly Public Schools

Good morning and happy snow day! As a result of school cancellation due to the inclement weather, the cumulative assessment schedule will commence as follows:

  • Tuesday, December 14th: B1 Assessment, B2 Assessment, B3 Class, B4 Class
  • *Wednesday, December 15th: A1 Assessment, A2 Assessment, A3 Class, A4 Class
  • Thursday, December 16th: B1 Class, B4 Assessment, B3 Assessment, B2 Class
  • Friday, December 17th: A1 Class, A4 Assessment, A3 Assessment, Alumni Fair 
*On Wednesday, students will eat lunch in the IA classrooms with pizza available for purchase.
