Talk About Town: Too Soon for Christmas?

It's a debate my fiance, Brian, and I have every year... is it too soon to start thinking about Christmas?

From a young age I've always loved Christmas. I love the music, the movies, the decorations ... and yes, even the snow. So when Nov. 1 hits, I always bust out the Christmas music and listen to it, non-stop, until Christmas.

Now that I'm a homeowner I'm trying to convince Brian that we need to get our lights up before the weather starts to get bad. I want to go all out this year -- not Clark Griswold type lights, but something wonderful and festive.

We want to know:

Is it to early to start decorating for Christmas (or Hanukkah) and listening to festive music?
