Teen Arrested on Drug Possession Charges at High School

The following information was supplied by White Lake Township police. Arrests and charges do not indicate convictions.

A 16-year-old former Lakeland student was arrested at the school March 15 after being asked to leave the building.

According to the report, the teen told White Lake police he was at the school to visit a former teacher. The report states he was walking around the building while classes were in session, and asked to leave by the school resource officer.

The officer noted in the report that the teen smelled like marijuana. The teen denied having any drugs on him, the report states, but marijuana and two pipes were found in his backpack.

The teen was arrested on charges of marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The teen was released to his parents. White Lake police said a juvenile petition for charges will be filed with the court.
