Tornado Watch Issued for Oakland County

Severe weather expected to move through the area.

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for Oakland County until midnight.

According to the National Weather Service there is a chance for storms capable of producing tornadoes to move through the area tonight. These storms are capable of producing hail greater than 1-inch in diameter, and wind gusts to 60 mph.

"The greatest threat is along and south of the I-96... the storms will move northeast at 25 mph," the watch states.
