Why go: Fit Fridays, a new program at the library, features Wii bowling for adults, projected on the big screen. Prizes are available! Please call the library at 248-698-4942 to register or for more information.

Where/when: 151 N Main St, Milford, Saturday, 9 a.m.

Why go: Doug Killingbeck lost his life to save another in Milford earlier this year. Join his friends and family from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday for the Doug Killingbeck Memorial Paddle starting out from Milford’s own Central Park where a shuttle will take them to either Heavener Canoe Rental or Village Canoe Rental. Participants will paddle down the river in memory of Doug, who spent every free minute he had on the river, then back to Central Park for a BBQ and entertainment.

Price: Suggested donations are $10/student; $40/individual or $75/family. All proceeds support the Killingbeck family.

Why go: See all that this new market has to offer, including fresh produce, baked goods, crafts and more.

Price: Free.

Where/when: Friday 5-8 p.m., , 321 Union Lake Rd, White Lake.

Why go: Get great company, conversation and some of the best fish in town.

Price: Cost is $8 for most; seniors pay $7.

Where/when: , Sunday, 10 a.m.

Why Go: hosts its sixth annual BASEKETball Golf Outing Sunday, Oct. 2 at . The four-person scramble event features a 10 a.m. shotgun start. Prizes will be awarded to top teams. Contests include Vegas Hole, Long Drive and Closest to the Pin. Help raise money for the Lakeland baseball and basketball teams.

Price: Cost is $85 per golfer or $340 per four-person team; however, whether or not you play golf, you can help. If you would like to sponsor a hole, the cost is $100; additionally, you may join us for dinner only, which is $35.
