Voter Registration Deadline for November Election is Monday

The deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 5 general election is Monday, Oct. 7. 

Residents can register at White Lake or Highland Township Hall, the county clerk's office or any Secretary of State office or by mail. In order to vote, you must be:

  • 18 years or older on or before Election Day.
  • A citizen of the United States.
  • A resident of White Lake or Highland for at least 30 days.

Don't forget: If you have recently moved to the area, make sure you re-register in town. If you've moved within the city, the clerk's office will handle the change. All Michigan voters must use the same residential address for voter registration and their driver's license.

Voting absentee

Those who aren't able to go to the polls on Election Day may cast an absentee ballot. An application can be requested in person at Township Hall, by mail or by phone.
