17th Annual Gathering of the Tin Can Toourists

The 17th
Annual Gathering at Camp Dearborn will feature mobile mansions – GMC. Flxible,
Travco and all other motor coaches 20 years or older. Open House and an expanded
Concours, The North American Vintage
Trailer and Motor Coach Show,
is on Saturday, May 17th from 11 to 3pm, which
 will give the public an opportunity to
view over 150 vintage trailers and motor coaches.  



Over 160
trailers and motor coaches were displayed during the 2013 Gathering. Some very
rare or unusual models will be shown during this year’s Open House and Concours
including a 1948 Spartanette, full of polished wood and Art Deco curves, a 1936
Bowlus Road Chief, a rare 1937 Curtiss Aerocar towed by a custom built 1938
International Truck, shiny 1960s Airstreams, as well as Scotties and Shasta’s
of every description. Owners and fans of vintage travel trailers are invited to
visit, especially during the Open House from 11-3pm on Saturday, May 17th.



During the
Open House, Dan Hershberger, RV Historian, will make a presentation on his 1927
Kamp Kar and display artifacts from early Autocar and camping. 2 PM - Site #50
