3rd Annual Outrun Hunger Saturday November 2, 2013

On Saturday November 2, 2013 at 10:00am we will host our 3rd annual 5k run/walk and 1 mile run/walk to raise money that will provide meals for families in need. The race takes place on the scenic Commerce Commons Pathway, which offers peaceful, natural beauty from its wetlands and wildlife. The trail is just outside the Commerce Township Hall, (the former Links of Pinewood) or 8600 PGA Drive Commerce, MI).

Outrun Hunger is a fun event for charity, best of all, 100% of your registration/contribution goes back to our community to help families in need of food during the holidays. Grace Church—Commerce is partnering with Hospitality House of Walled Lake and Open Door Outreach Center of Waterford to hopefully raise $12,000 and feed 600 Lakes Region families this season. The pantries combined feed 6,646 households a year.

The event is professionally timed and awards are provided by local running companies and restaurants. Overall M/F, Overall Master M/F, Overall Grand Master M/F and 1st place M/F ages 5-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over.
