Bring Kids to Cooking Demo with Chef Johnny Prep

Bring the kids to a cooking demonstration with Chef Johnny Prep this weekend. Prep is a popular TV personality and the author of 
several cookbooks, the latest being “The Magic of Cooking with Really Good Broth”  now available at the MI Book Boutique. 


But more than that, he’s an advocate of children’s health. In 2011, he launched “Veggie Wars”, an innovative, peer-based middle school curriculum. It is a healthy eating competition that challenges students to develop nutritious recipes, primarily with vegetables, and then market these dishes to other students. The program has received national news attention, and is now part of six Michigan school curriculums including Bloomfield Hills and Waterford schools.
