Free Grocery Give Away Hosted by Molina Healthcare

In an effort to help those in need this holiday season, Molina Healthcare of Michigan will be giving away 200 reusable grocery bags filled with food items at the Wine Basket Market on Duck Lane Road in Highland Township.

Additionally, the first 50 attendees who ask a Molina Healthcare representative for information about Michigan’s Health Insurance Marketplace will receive a free $10 gift card.

The event is free and open to the public.
The grocery bags filled with food will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis to the first 200 families while supplies last.

The bags will include food items such as:

One box of mac & cheese

One box of spaghetti

One 24 oz. jar of pasta sauce

One 15 oz. can of beefaroni

One 10 oz. can of chicken noodle soup

One can of whole corn

One can of cut green beans

One five lb. bag of Idaho potatoes

One 24 oz. bottle of ketchup

One 15 oz. can original sloppy joe sauce

One six oz. box of mashed potatoes

One four lb. bag of sugar

One 8.5 oz. box of corn muffin mix

Molina Healthcare representatives will also be distributing information and answering questions about Michigan’s Health Insurance Marketplace, as the deadline to sign up is December 23. Molina Healthcare is committed to making health care accessible and affordable to those who are low-income or uninsured. Through the health insurance marketplace, individuals are able to purchase insurance for a low cost and many may even qualify for federal subsidies to help pay for their monthly premiums.

Dr. Cleo, Molina Healthcare's cat doctor mascot, will also be on-hand to meet, greet and take photos with children in attendance.
