Community Corner

Indoor Market/Candy Cane Hunt

December 14th marks the last day of the Indoor Market.  We will be joining forces with Huron Valley Recreation and Community Education at the 3rd annual Candy Cane Hunt.  This exciting, fun filled event will be held at the Apollo Center, 2029 N. Milford Road in Highland.  The Indoor Market will be from 9:00 to 1:00 and the Candy Cane Hunt will be from 10:00 to 12:00.  The cost for the Candy Cane Hunt is $7.00.

As you approach the entrance to the Apollo Center you will find one of Santa's helpers passing out the makings for S'mores.  You will be able to toast your own marshmallow and create your own S'more.  The kids will get to search for prize winning candy canes, decorate their own cookies and create cheerful holiday crafts.  Hot chocolate will also be served to warm up the festivities! Younger kids will tackle the course first with the older kids going later.  Dress for the outdoors.  If the weather is too cold, we will have an indoor course.  Vendors from the Indoor Market will also be joining in on the event.  Take time to stop and shop while the kids are having fun.  Santa will be there to start making his list, along with his favorite face painter.  Two of his favorite elves will be there as well.  Huron Valley Macaroni Kid will also be on hand to help the kids create hand-made holiday crafts.  Our entertainer for the event will be Stuart Benbow from Sentimental Value.  Holiday Cheer will be in the air.

Mark your calendars and come join in on the fun!!!
