A gust of wind...a chance meeting...
So begins one of Broadway's most beautiful and romantic love stories ever told on stage.
Set in Italy in the the 1950's, the story centers on Margaret Johnson, a
wealthy Southern woman and her emotionally stalled daughter, Clara, who
spend a summer together in Italy. When Clara falls in love with a young
Italian man, Margaret is forced to reconsider not only Clara's future,
but her own deep seated hopes and regrets as well.
