"The Vacant Chair"--Free Veterans' Concert

"The Vacant Chair,” a

free concert honoring military veterans, will be held on Sunday, November 10 at

7 p.m. at West Highland Baptist Church (WHBC) on Hickory Ridge Rd. in Milford.

Milford Music and WHBC, the third annual veterans’ concert will feature moving,

war-era songs performed by local musicians including Milford Music students.  It will also include remarks from a military

veteran.

“This touching evening

will evoke an awed appreciation for our military veterans and for those men and

women currently serving in the armed forces,” explains Tim Twiss, Milford Music

owner.  “And, it will highlight the ultimate

sacrifice of veterans lost in service to our country—as symbolized by the

vacant chair.”

Admission is free

and the concert is open to the public.  Donations will be accepted to support local

American Legion Post 216 and the Veterans’ Day Parade.
