Community Corner

Walk, Run, Bike About Health Event

Spectrum Companies are coming together for the third Walk, Run, Bike About event Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Kensington Metropark. Check in starts at 9 a.m. and participates will begin the venture around 8 miles of beautiful scenic Kensington Lake. The cost is $20 plus park fee and all proceeds will benefit Spectrum Human Services. Join us for healthy lifestyle tips and information from local gyms and health stores as well as a provided luncheon after.

This community partnership is a health awareness event dedicated to educate the public and our employees on how to live a healthier lifestyle. Many people who work in the human service field are at a risk for health issues such as obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure and substance use of tobacco and/or alcohol. Spectrum Human Services and Affiliated Companies would like to inform their staff and the community of positive ways to remain healthy while taking care of others. This health awareness event will provide information to assist people in creating a healthy program to live by.
