Deciding Your Color Scheme When Planning An Event!

Colors are such an important part of…well, anything! Whether it be your clothing, home or event, colors say a lot. Colors can represent emotions, induce feelings or set a mood. So how do you decide on a color scheme for your event? There are a few things you need to take into account:

1. What kind of event are you planning?

Are you throwing a party for children? Is it a wedding? Maybe it’s a bridal shower? It is very important to know your audience.

You’re color scheme is going to be vastly different if you’re planning an X-box themed party versus a Hello Kitty themed party. Always research your theme! You can never have too much information.

3. When is the event taking place?

Seasons have a big factor on color scheme. Maybe lime green linens aren’t the best choice for your November wedding. On the contrary, maybe yellows, burnt oranges and browns are!

4. Do you already have specific pieces you want to include?

Maybe you have beautiful centerpieces that you know you want to use. Or maybe you’re coordinating the event around certain flowers. It is important to have a starting point.

Happy planning!
