The Friends of Highland Recreation Area holds work bees starting at 9 a.m. the second and fourth Sundays of the month at Highland State Recreation Area, 5200 Highland Road in White Lake.
The Friends of Highland Recreation Area is a growing group of Michigan residents, business owners and organizations, joining forces for a very simple concept: to bring to life a former recreational estate of Edsel Bryant Ford—for everyone to enjoy!
Members have been working on the former Edsel Ford structures in the HRA, The original Gatehouse, Edsel Ford Barn, and the Carriage House located next to the old Edsel Ford Lodge.

Currently, the group is clearing the debris from the barn that was damaged during the nasty storms in June of 2008.
