Local Musicians Rock Community for Charity

A variety of local talent will be taking the stage on Friday from 7-10 p.m. at  for the Rock the Community concert, featuring the band .

Proceeds from the show will benefit the Lakeland Family Assistance Fund and $1 per ticket sold will go to the Huron Valley Education Fund.

Brilliance, a hip-hop artist, will be performing in the mix, along with singer and songwriter Lewis Hensley and former American Idol contestant Cody Sheldon.

Some of the fresh talent that will be in the limelight include rapper Nick Pisco also known as Avant Guard who just graduated from Lakeland, and the band Syclone. Aside from the new talent, Infinity Hour is excited to take part in such a big concert on its own turf, since two band members attend Lakeland High School and the rest are from Farmington and Hartland. The group's music includes both original and cover tunes.

In addition to the musical lineup, intended to capture audience members of all ages, concessions will be on site. A meet and greet will begin at 6 p.m. at Lakeland for anybody that wants to come early and get photos, autographs or just talk with the slated performers.

Tickets for the show are $7 if purchased ahead of time, and $10 at the door. With each $7 pre-sale ticket, attendees will receive a free Infinity Hour CD. A family special is available as well. For a family of four tickets are just $20.

Tickets can be purchased at Lakeland High School. Students attending Milford High School, White Lake Middle School or Oak Valley Middle School can buy tickets at their lunch hour through June 9.
