You Need to Know This: Location Changed for White Lake Christmas Tree-Lighting Ceremony

From visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus to making cookies to musical entertainment, this is Oakland County's biggest tree-lighting event.

White Lake Township’s Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony, the biggest in Oakland County with more than 2,300 people participating last year, is moving to a new location this year.

This year, the ceremony and associated activities will be held from 6-9 p.m. at Historic Fisk Farm, located at Fisk Road and M-59.

Don’t forget to bring your camera. The evening’s activities include achance to have your children’s pictures taken while visiting with Santa and Mrs. Claus and live reindeers.

Kids can make their own cookies, decorate gingerbread hosues, roast marshmallows, make s’mores and drink hot chocolate. Other attractions include ice sculptures, kettle corn, balloon creations, and arts and crafts.

Entertainment will be provided by the Art of the Dance Performers and White Lake Middle School’s Choir and Jazz Band. A local dance company will perform to holiday selections.
