  • 3-4 pounds of whole chicken
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic Salt
  • 2 tbsp. Basil
  • Garlic Powder
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 5 yellow potatoes, sliced in half

To start, place the sliced potatoes on the bottom of the Crock Pot. These will hold up the chicken and keep it from touching the bottom of the pot while cooking. Next, pour in 1 cup of the broth. Place the chicken over the potatoes and broth, if you have a big Crock Pot you can add carrots and other vegetables. Pour the remaining broth over the chicken. Season to taste with the salt, pepper, garlic salt and garlic powder. Next, take the basil and sprinkle over the chicken. Cover and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours, until the chicken is no longer pink. Serve with your favorite side dish and enjoy!
