Add your items to the White Lake time capsule.

To celebrate White Lake's 175th birthday this year, the historical society and township have teamed up to make a time capsule. Items for the time capsule will be collected through the end of next week at the .

Supervisor Greg Baroni announced the capsule at this year's Fisk Farm Festival. Baroni said the township is still looking to add several items including photos from community events this year, menus from local restaurants, ads from local stores and any other items residents think would be important to preserve.

"In January we will catalog all the items and take photos, then place them in the capsule," Baroni said.

The library also has a guest book, and Baroni is encouraging residents to go in and record their name and address so people 50 years from now will have a record of who lived in White Lake in 2011.
