Highland to Celebrate Community Garden with Party
Join in on the fun and check out the Highland Community Garden at the garden party July 16.
Residents and volunteers in Highland are hosting a garden party July 16 at 6 p.m. to celebrate the first year of Highland's community garden project.
"We are taking a moment to celebrate the garden, those who have donated, supported, voted it in and take the opportunity to enjoy each other," Heidi Bey, director of the Highland Adult Activity Center, said in an email.
The party will run from 6-8 p.m. at the garden located at 209 N. John Street in Highland.
There will be a BBQ dinner, a tour of the garden and a raffle. Guests are asked to bring their own, non-alcoholic beverage, and dish to share - if possible. There will also be a collection of canned goods for Community Sharing if anyone would like to donate.
