Milford Church Looking for Christmas Cantata Singers

Do you like to sing? Join the Christmas Cantata.

Milford Presbyterian Church is looking for people who who enjoy singing, and would like to join with the choir in this year’s Christmas Cantata “A Light Still Shines”. The church will present the cantata on Saturday evening, December 15th and Sunday afternoon, December 16th.

Created by Randy Vader, Jay Rouse, and Camp Kirkland, the vocal movements in this wonderful work range from traditional (“O Come, All Ye Faithful”) to modern (“Mary, Did You Know?”) and exciting and upbeat (“Soli Deo Gloria!”).

In addition to 12 songs, the cantata includes a drama, set in the present day, and offering parts for 4 adults and 2 teens.

Milford Presbyterian Church is happy to welcome adults and teens from the community to join in this production. Vocal auditions are not necessary, but a commitment to attending weekly rehearsals (starting in October) is expected. Contact Margaret Babineau, Director of Music, at (248) 330-2658 or music4us2@comcast.net for more information.

Last year, several singers from the White Lake and Highland areas joined in the production of “God Is With Us”, which was presented in memory of Reverend Deb Kerr, former pastor of the White Lake Presbyterian Church.

Milford Presbyterian Church has a strong choral tradition throughout the year, and has a history of presenting cantatas annually during the Christmas Season. Recent year’s productions have included “Only Love”, “A Baby Changes Everything”, and “God Is With Us”.
