Road Work to Start in Commerce on Commerce Road
Traveling outside of White Lake? Here's some roadwork you'll want to look out for.
The following was submitted to White Lake Patch by the Road Commission for Oakland County.
The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) expects to begin the reconstruction of Commerce Road between Carroll Lake and Union Lake roads in Commerce Township on Monday April 16.
In addition to reconstructing the road surface, the project includes traffic signal upgrades and drainage improvements. The road will be closed temporarily during the project, but closure dates have not yet been identified.

In the mean time, once the project starts, motorists should expect delays.
The project is expected to cost $2.6 million, with $1.7 million paid for with federal dollars. The remainder will be shared between the Road Commission and Commerce Township. The work is being performed by Ajax Paving of Troy.
