Why go: Tastefest is an athletic booster/athletic department fundraiser that features many of the best-known and enjoyed restaurants in the area. It gives Lakeland fans a chance to try different types of food and drink they may not have tasted otherwise.

Price: Call for game ticket costs; tickets for Tastefest are 10/$5

Where/when: 1702 Scott Lake Rd, Waterford, Saturday, 10 a.m.

Why go: Adventure seekers are invited to try out the sport of bicycle motor cross (BMX) for free at Waterford Oaks County Park. Admission is free and includes bike rentals, helmet rentals and track time.

Why go: See all that this new market has to offer, including fresh produce, baked goods, crafts and more.

Price: Free.

Where/when: Friday 5-8 p.m., , 321 Union Lake Rd, White Lake.

Why go: Get great company, conversation and some of the best fish in town.

Price: Cost is $8 for most; seniors pay $7.

Where/when: Highland Township Library, Saturday, 10 a.m.

Why Go: Try open gaming at Highland Township Library's Battle Days! We've got the tables and an ever-growing collection of terrain. If you've already got an army. Open to teens and adults. Newcomers are always welcome!
