What better way to welcome in spring than the Wild Winter Thaw Strolling Appetizer Benefit. The event, held today, Friday, at the from 6-9 p.m., will raise money for Faith in Action of Oakland County.
According to its website, Faith in Action is a non-profit/nationwide organization established in the mid 1980's. The group, who is looking to make White Lake it's base, does a variety of things including:
- Provide help to elderly people who want to continue to live in their homes, but need help with routine activities they can no longer do on their own.
- Help people who may be recovering from a medical condition or mental or emotional stress with their day-to-day living.
- Help over-burdened family caregivers who need to take a break for a few hours from their stressful responsibilities.
Local businesses will be in attendance selling their ware and talking with the community. Those businesses include , Village Deli, , and .
Jazz Band, The Men of Grace Choir from Grace Centers of Hope, the Nagy Duo- Harp and Flute Duo will be providing the live entertainment.
Admission is $30 per person, and includes free Appetizers and beverages,
