Why Choose a Disney Vacation?

With so many vacation options available, why should you choose Disney? In this post, I share my top four reason for choosing a Disney vacation.

With so many vacation options out there, clients often ask me why I recommend Disney trips so highly.  I always reply with the following four reasons:

1. Customer Service - Disney theme parks and properties are renowned for their attentive Cast Members (“Disney Speak” for employees) who will bend over backwards to make you comfortable and happy.  On our last Disney trip, we got caught in an afternoon thunderstorm just as we were getting off the bus at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World.  The rain was pouring, the wind was whipping, and my storm-wary daughter was beginning to panic.  Suddenly, a deafening clap of thunder exploded around us, and Sadie began screaming in terror.  Two Cast Members were quickly at her side, comforting her and making her laugh.  Soon, my daughter's fears were history!  Almost everyone who visits Disney World has a similar story of a Cast Member who went above and beyond the call of duty.

2. Something For Everyone to Enjoy - Disney vacations are not just about theme parks anymore!  With exciting thrill rides, gourmet dining experiences, a variety of entertainment options, numerous sporting opportunities, romantic cruises, memorable character meets, and nostalgic attractions, Disney vacations cater to virtually every demographic.

3. Options to Fit Every Budget - Many people assume that Disney vacations are prohibitively expensive.  While you certainly can spend a lot of money at Disney World, you definitely don’t have to!  Let’s compare two five-day Disney vacation packages (including lodging, park tickets, and dining) for a family of four.  If this family chose to stay at a Disney deluxe resort over Christmas week, their trip would easily cost over $7000.00.  However, if they booked a Disney value resort in March during a “free dining promotion” instead, the same five-day vacation would run an affordable $1975.00.  Best of all, every Disney property (regardless of cost) is impeccably clean, beautifully themed, and offers the same level of customer service.  Look for even more ways to save money on a Disney vacation in a later post.

4. The Disney Magic - Here it is: the most important reason to choose a Disney vacation.  You will make magical memories that your family will cherish for a lifetime.  Nothing quite compares to seeing your daughter’s face light up when she meets her favorite princess for the first time or to sharing in your son’s excitement as he battles Darth Vader in a light saber duel.  Even if you don’t have children, it’s impossible not to feel like a kid again as you stroll down Main Street toward Cinderella Castle.  There truly is something magical about a Disney vacation that you simply can’t experience anywhere else.

So, there you have it!  My top four reasons for choosing a Disney vacation.  In my next post, I’ll share some basic tips to help guide you through the preliminary stages of planning a Disney trip.  Remember, you can always check out my personal blog for more Disney planning tips at http://drinkingkool-aid.blogspot.com.  You can also e-mail me at disneymadeeasy@yahoo.com.  Until next time, have a magical day!
