An Estimated $10,000 in Air Conditioning Units Taken from Vacant Building

The following information was supplied by the White Lake Township Police Department. Arrests and charges do not indicate convictions.

For the second time in two months, White Lake Police were called to a building following the report of a theft of a commercial air conditioning unit.

Lt. Don Nankervis said the most recent incident occurred sometime between April 1 and April 30 at a vacant building on the 9000 block of Highland Road.

According to the report, a total of six commercial air conditioning units were taken. Nankervis said he estimates the loss to be approximately $10,000.

There are no suspects at this time, and the incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 248-698-4400.

In early April, White Lake Community Church filed a report with police stating an air conditioning unit was taken from the property, along with copper pipes and water pumps. That case is also under investigation, it's not yet known if the two incidents are related.

Man with outstanding felony warrant arrested

Police were called to on April 29, at 4 p.m. after an alarm went off at the school.

According to the report, police checked the area and found a 28-year-old in his car. Further investigation revealed the man had an outstanding felony warrant for being a parole absconder.

Nankervis said the man was arrested and lodged at Oakland County Jail.

After a sweep of the school, police noted in the report nothing was out of place.
