$2,400 Worth of Jewelry Missing from Meijer

The following information was supplied by the White Lake Township Police Department. Arrests and charges do not indicate convictions.

Loss prevention officers at r have reported a theft of $2,400 worth of jewlery from the store.

According to the report, the items were in a display case, though it's unclear whether the case was locked. White Lake Lt. Adam Kline said there was no damage listed in the report.

The theft occured sometime between midnight and 4 a.m. on April 17. The store is open 24 hours.

Kline said there is a security camera in the store and police are still investigating.

Copper pipes stolen

Copper pipes, valued at about $500 were stolen from the Reserve of Tall Lake apartment complex sometime between Oct. 31, 2011 and April 17, 2012, according to police reports.

A female member of the homeowner's association told police the pipe was cut from the sprinkler system. It was last seen in place in October when the area around the complex was being winterized.

The reported theft occured on the 900 block of Sloan Court.

Police did go to the scene, but there are no suspects, according to the report.

Kline said he did not recall any other copper pipe thefts in the area.
