Accident Shuts Down M-59 During Rush Hour

Man remains at hospital in critical condition, according to White Lake Police.

Police have concluded an on scene investigation into an accident Monday along M-59 in White Lake, that shut down traffic for more than two hours and left a man hospitalized.

According to the police report a red car rear-ended a motorcycle when stopping for the traffic light at M-59 and Fisk Road. The motorcycle was then pushed into the car in front of it.

The motorcycle driver was the only person transported to the hospital.

"We found out later that night, after concluding our investigation, that his injuries were not as severe as we first thought," Police Chief Edward Harris said Tuesday.

There have not yet been any citations issued as a result of the accident.
