Armed Robbery Reported in Highland

The following information was supplied by the Oakland County Sheriff's Office Highland Substation. Arrests and charges do not indicate convictions.

Deputies with the Oakland County Sheriff's Office Highland Substation were called to Hickory Ridge Market for an armed robbery July 5 at 8:38 p.m.

According to a report, a man told police that a friend had threatened him with a sawed off shotgun and took $150 from him at the store.

A K-9 unit was called in to track the suspect, but was not successful in locating the man.

Deputies followed up with a search of the man's home where a shotgun was located. The gun was taken by deputies and placed into evidence.

The report states the suspect was not located, and is still at large. The incident remains under investigation.
