Missing car found in Pontiac

A White Lake resident reported his car missing Tuesday after his son took the car and some money from the home without permission, Harris said.

According to the report, the 25-year-old son left a note on the refrigerator in the home that said he was taking the car and that gave a location where it might be found.

When the father awoke, he reported the car stolen, telling police he did not give his son permission to take the vehicle, the report states.

The car was located in Pontiac, where the note indicated it might be, the report said.

The incident remains under investigation. Harris said it's unclear at this time whether the son will be charged with any crime.
