Breaking and Entering Reported at Highland Business

The following information was supplied by the Oakland County Sheriff's Office Highland Substation. Arrests and charges do not indicate convictions.

Deputies with the Oakland County Sheriff's Office Highland Substation were called to a business March 3 on the 1600 block of Milford Road in Highland after an alarm went off.

According to the report, when deputies arrived at the business, S&G Coin and Jewelry, they found the glass on one of the business's doors was shattered.

A K-9 unit was called in, and the dog was able to track a scent from the store to to an adjacent parking lot before it was lost.

An employee with the business arrived at the scene and went through the store. That employee stated that nothing appeared to missing at that time.

The incident remains under investigation.
