The driver (Steve) was questioned by the officer outside his vehicle and told the officer he didn't have a license, Kline said.

Steve was brought in for driving without a license, and Bryan was taken in for an outstanding warrant.

Both brothers were questioned at the station by police. Kline said both men waived their Miranda rights, and one of the brothers confessed to the thefts at the Mama Mia property.

Both men were arraigned at 52-2 District Court in Clarkston and given $10,000 cash bonds. Both were unable to post bond and remain at Oakland County Jail.

Man arrested and charged with first-degree home invasion

A 28-year old man was arrested just after midnight on Sunday after witnesses told police he entered a neighboring apartment and assaulted two men.

Kline said the man, Matthew Branch, was arraigned on first-degree home invasion charges after he entered his neighbor's apartment and assaulted both the neighbor and his guest.

"They appeared to get into an argument about picking flowers, among other things," Kline said.

The neighbor told police Branch became angry and began to pound and kick on the door of his apartment near the 8200 block of Pontiac Lake Road.

According to the report, the neighbor opened the door slightly then tried to close it when Branch started to force his way in. Both the neighbor and his guest attempted to keep Branch out of the apartment, but Kline said Branch forced his way in and began to hit the two men inside.

Branch was arrested then taken to Oakland County Jail. He was arraigned on Monday and given a $10,000 bond and told not to have any contact with his victims.
