Driver Clips Bicyclist on M-59

responded 6:30 p.m. Sept. 13 to an incident where a driver hit a bicyclist on M-59 near Pontiac Lake Road, according to a police report. The man, from Waterford, was driving westbound on M-59 when he clipped the 47-year-old bicyclist, from Commerce Township, while changing lanes, according to the report. The bicyclist sustained minor injuries. The 20-year-old man driving the car was issued a citation by police, the report said. 

Homeowner Assaults Plumber

Police are investigating an incident from 6:30 p.m. Sept. 12 when a 50-year-old homeowner on the 8000 block of Nathan Oscar Drive assaulted a plumber in his home, according to a police report. The plumber was responding to the homeowner's call about a water heater that had been previously worked on, the report said. The homeowner was upset about the workmanship and chased the plumber in the basement and around the yard, according to the report, before the plumber was able to get in his van and contact police. The plumber received some minor injuries and police are continuing to investigate, the report said.
