Drunken Woman Crawls Across Neighbor's Lawn

Police arrested a 48-year-old White Lake woman for disorderly conduct 4 p.m. Sept. 29 at a home on the 9000 block of Mandon Road, according to a police report.

Police were called to the residence where the homeowner found an intoxicated woman crawling across her yard, the report said. The woman, who lives on the street, was screaming for her son, according to the report. She was arrested and, because of her high blood alcohol level, was transferred to Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital for treatment. 

Man Charged with Drunk Driving Felony 

Police arrested a 52-year-old Commerce Township resident 12:30 a.m. Sept. 29 for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol near Elizabeth Lake and Oxbow Lake roads, according to a police report. The responding officer stopped the man driving a black Ford Expedition after observing his erratic driving, the report said. The man failed a sobriety test and a preliminary breath test, and was found to have three prior drunk driving offenses dating back to 2006 and a suspended driver's license, according to the report. The man was charged with a felony for drunk driving and was arraigned with a $25,000 bond, the report said.

Unknown Suspect Slashes White Lake Man's Tires

All four tires of a '99 Pontiac vehicle were slashed in the night between Sept. 29 and 30 at a White Lake man's home on the 8000 block of Glasgow Drive, according to a White Lake Township Police report. The damage was valued at $400, the report said. The tires were slashed by an unknown object, according to the report, and the police have no suspects. 

Man Attempts to Steal Vacuum from Bed, Bath and Beyond

A man tried to steal a $500 Roomba Vacuum 12:30 p.m. Sept. 28 from Bed, Bath and Beyond, 9050 Highland Road, according to a police report. The man entered the store and selected the vacuum, placing it by the vestibule doors, the report said. He walked around the store for a few minutes and then exited, picking up the vacuum on the way out, according to the report. The store manager chased him, the report said, but the man fled in an older black Mercedes. The vacuum was recovered, and police think he has stolen from the store before and are still searching for him, the report said.
