Fallen Wires Light Cars On Fire in White Lake

officers and were called to a home on Friday on the 9000 block of Buckingham after wire fell and caught fire.

According to Sgt. Dan Keller, the incident occurred at 11 p.m. The homeowner told police, the report states, that they had called DTE to come out because the wires had been sparking for several hours.

DTE did not respond, according to the report, and the wire eventually fell and caught fire. Two cars were in the path of the fallen wire and both caught fire.

Firefighters were able to put the fires out, but both cars suffered significant damage.

Wanted men identified

Keller said the photos posted on the White Lake Police Department's Facebook page and White Lake Patch led to the positive identification of three suspects wanted for larceny from autos in White Lake.

The teens, ages 17, 18 and 19, are all from Holly. According to the report, police received a call from a person who recognized the teens. When police made contact with the teens, they found items that matched up with items that had been purchased locally using the stolen credit cards.

No arrests have been made, but detectives are continuing the investigation. More information will be released if and when arrests are made, and charges are filed.
