Front Window of Home on Union Lake Shattered, Owner Reports Hearing Gunshots

were called to a home on the 100 block of Union Lake Road after a woman reported hearing gunshots.

According to the report, the woman told police she heard three gunshots then the sound of her window breaking Saturday night. However, she didn't report the incident to police until Sunday morning.

"We are still investigating what shattered the window," Lt. Adam Kline said. "It could have been a rock or some other object."

Stolen vehicle found

A vehicle reported stolen in Waterford was found in the White Lake parking lot on Sunday.

Kline said the vehicle was found at 12:30 p.m. and a man in his early 20s, described as 5 feet 8 inches with a thin build, was seen by witnesses dumping the car.

The car was turned over to Waterford police. The incident remains under investigation.

Man questioned about target shooting in backyard

Police questioned a man at a house off Young near Bogie Lake on Saturday after workers at nearby Whiting Oil and Gas reported a bullet fired from nearby hit their building.

The 27-year-old man at the house told police he was target shooting with his rifle in his backyard, near Whiting Oil and Gas, but denied shooting toward the building, Kline said.

"We couldn't find any damage to the building, but one of the workers who reported the incident said he heard the bullet strike the building," Kline said.

The incident remains under investigation.
