Two teens were arrested Feb. 8 at Lakeland High School after a run-in with school administrators during a basketball game.

According to a report filed with the White Lake police, a 16-year-old from Highland and 17-year-old from Woodhaven were seen by school employees drinking and smoking in the parking lot at Lakeland High School during a basketball game.

The report states that when the two teens entered the school they were confronted by the athletic director and a marijuana pipe was confiscated from the teens.

Police were called and the two teens were given preliminary breath tests. The 16-year-old registered a .10 blood alcohol level; and the 17-year-old registered a .05 blood alcohol level.

Both teens were taken to the station where they were interviewed by police with their parents. The report states the teens admitted to drinking.

The 17-year-old was cited for minor in possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. A juvenile petition was filed with Oakland County courts for the 16-year-old.
