Items Taken From Unlocked Cars Near Cooley Beach

The following information was supplied by the White Lake Township Police Department. Arrests and charges do not indicate convictions.

were called to three homes between May 19 and May 21 near Cooley Beach after items were reported missing from cars.

Lt. Adam Kline said it's possible the thefts are all related.

The first larceny from auto occurred sometime between May 19 and May 21 on the 8000 block of Cooley Beach.

According to the report, a Dell computer was taken from an unlocked Ford Fusion. There are no suspects at this time, and nobody reported anything suspicious.

The second larceny occurred sometime between May 19 and May 20 on the 9000 block of Mandon Road. The report states a GPS unit was taken from an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway of a home. There are no suspects at this time, but the owner of the car told police he noticed a suspicious Ford Ranger in the area during the time of the theft.

The third larceny took place sometime between midnight and 9 a.m. on May 20 near the 8000 block of Cooley Beach.

According to the report, a GPS unit was taken from the unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway of the home. There are no suspects at this time and neither the neighbors or the owner of the car reported seeing anything suspicious.
