Man Arrested Following Home Invasion in White Lake

The following information was supplied by White Lake Township Police. Arrests and charges do not indicate convictions.

A 25-year-old White Lake man was arrested Jan. 2 after a homeowner reported seeing him in their house, according to White Lake Township police.

A report filed with the station said police were called to a home on the 200 block of Jaclyn Boulevard in White Lake after a homeowner reported a home invasion.

The owner told police, the report states, that the 25-year-old entered the home not realizing the homeowner was there. The homeowner confronted the man and he fled from the home. According to the report, the homeowner recognized the man and told police where he lived down the street.

When police arrived at the home they found the 25-year-old, the report states. The man was arrested and later arraigned on charges of first degree home invasion. The man told police he has only entered the home to borrow a cigarette, according to the report.

The man, Adam Cross, was given a $35,000 cash bond. He remains in Oakland County Jail.
