Man Pulls Gun During Altercation in White Lake

The following information was supplied by the White Lake Township Police Department. Arrests and charges do not indicate convictions.

A man showed a gun during a physical altercation at 6:15 p.m. Oct. 3 in the area of Village Drive and Rockford Circle, according to a White Lake Township Police report.  

A 43-year-old White Lake man told police he was walking in the area of his mobile home park when a white GMC truck pulled up, the report said. He reported he recognized the woman as someone with whom he had a dating relationship, according to the report. There appears to have been a physical altercation when the woman and/or male driver got out of the truck, the report said. The man said the male driver pointed a silver revolver at him, according to the report. 

Police are looking for further information about this incident and would appreciate any assistance.

Boy Steals from High School Vending Machines

Police questioned a 14-year-old White Lake boy, who a school employee said had been stealing from a vending machine at Lakeland High School, according to a police report.

A school resource officer was advised by the owner of several vending machines inside the school that he was missing several items, the report said. Someone had tried to reach inside the machine and damaged it, according to the report. About $20 worth of items, including Skittles, Dove and Reese’s candy, was missing from the machine, the report said.

The boy admitted to stealing the items, the report said, and was referred to Oakland County Youth Services.

Woman Injured While Jogging

A 45-year-old White Lake woman fell and injured her shoulder while jogging 9:30 a.m. Oct. 4 on a back road near Porter Road and Grass Lake Road, according to a police report.

Someone saw the woman fall and called the police, the report said, and she was transported to an area hospital.
