A 22-year-old White Lake resident is facing felony charges after police say he attacked another man in White Lake.
According to the report filed with the White Lake Police Department, the man walked out of his apartment at Hillview Village and found his 23-year-old wife speaking with another man Dec. 9 at 11 p.m.
The report stated the other man, a 30-year-old from Waterford, was the wife's boyfriend.
The White Lake resident attacked the Waterford man with a pocket knife, and the man received injuries to his hand, according to the report.
A neighbor witnessed the fight and intervened, the report states, and the cops were called.
The White Lake man was arrested and charged with assaut with a dangerous weapon - a four-year felony.
He was arraigned on the charge Tuesday, and released on a $5,000 bond.
"It could have been much worse," Lt. Don Nankervis said. "It's fortunate the neighbor stepped in and stopped things from escalating."
